Risk assessment of abdominal aortic aneurysm
Simq AAA
The rupture of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) ranks among the 15th leading causes of death. Simulation in combination with Machine Learning can improve the estimation of the rupture risk and thus give the clinician additional guidance for treatment planning.

Simq AAA at a glance
Target: Predictive assessment and classification of abdominal aortic aneurysms with simulation and AI/ML
- ML & AI combined with simulation for AAA risk assessment
- Identification and deployment of patient-specific material parameters via a ML-database
- R&D project with TUM
- Further joint development of the methods of the TU Munich
- Methods of Prof. Gee implemented in Simq AAA
- Comparison of patient-specific rupture statistics with database
